Spring photos in the wildflowers – is there really anything better? I love this time of year and will always be excited for spring wildflower sessions as a photographer. They create such a natural and beautiful backdrop for photos and it never fails that fill up my books for this time of the year.
One of my favorite spots for spring wildflower photos in my area is Richardson. The city does an amazing job of making sure we get to enjoy the beauty of the flowers each year by planting seeds in October. By late April, we have a beautiful mix of red corn poppy, cornflower, and rocket larkspur that are perfect for photo backdrops.
There are a few things about wildflower sessions that I love, but at the top of the list is the flexibility it offers my families during their sessions. Do your kids want to around? Feel like you aren’t up for posing? Not sure you feel comfortable in front of the camera? That’s totally ok!
During these sessions, I encourage my families to just be. Let your kids play tag, snuggle your sweet baby – the photos will be exactly what you want as I capture this moment in time of your family amongst the spring wildflowers.
It’s never too early to book a session in the spring flowers, especially with the limited availability. Book now so you don’t miss them this year!
