We all want to capture intimate and natural moments in our everyday lives, but how do we get that through a photo session? You do something that screams you versus worrying about the poses. That’s exactly what we did for Jaylyn and Danny’s session and it was so much fun! They invited me into their home, we made delicious coffee, hung out in some of their favorite spots, and ended it with red wine. It was so fun and so them – which I loved!
These were some of my favorite photos from the session and it’s not just because they shared their delicious coffee with me. Jaylyn and Danny are self-proclaimed coffee snobs and wanted this hobby they have together captured in the photos. We started at the very beginning and I photographed from them grinding the coffee to brewing it in their Chemex. And we can’t forget the cute booty mug.
A photo session often comes with worries about being in front of a camera. But when you’re in a space you are comfortable in, these worries can go away. After our coffee, they hung out in the heart of their home, their adorable living room. They read, snuggled on the couch and did a little dancing. It was so sweet to see them connect with each other in their space!
We ended the session with some red wine in their kitchen and it was the perfect way to end the day. They opened a bottle of their favorite red and hung out in their kitchen like they would if I wasn’t there. That’s one of my favorite things about these natural sessions – you do you and I just capture the everyday moments.
