Boho Bare Belly Maternity Session
Capturing a maternity sessioin is always something so special to me. An in recent years a bare belly maternity session has become increasingly popular. More and more women are embracing their pregnant bodies and want to capture this special moment in their lives. And as a maternity photographer, I am loving it! There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing a mom-to-be embrace the miracle that is pregnancy.
When Hayley reached out to me about a bare belly maternity session, I was so excited for the opportunity to work together! We chose the beautiful Dear Meraki studio in Dallas, Texas for her session and it was perfect for the boho vibes we wanted for the session.
Outfit Ideas for a Bare Belly Maternity Session
Knowing what to wear for your bare belly maternity session can be hard sometimes, so I’m here to help!
First, for your top, think comfortable bra or bralette that you feel supported in. During these bare belly sessions, we want to show of your beautiful growing belly so these are what I always find best for this!
Second, as far as bottoms, mamas do one of two things (or both). They’ll pick a cute pair of jeans and leave them unbuttoned. This is a casual look that I always love! As a section option, I’ll often see a matching set to the bra or bralette they’ve chosen to wear.
Feeling Confident During Your Session
One of the biggest things I want you to come out of this session feeling is confident. We are capturing the beauty of pregnancy and I’m going to make sure you feel gorgeous throughout the entire session! Some tips I have for feeling confident during your session:
- Communicate with your photographer before your session about what you may feel uncomfortable about so they know the best poses for your current comfort level in your pregnancy.
- Consider the point of your pregnancy you want to do your session. While you definitely want that belly to be popping, it is also important to make sure your are still comfortable for something like a photo session.
- Bring someone with you, even if the session is just for you. It always helps to have someone who makes you comfortable, especially if this is the first time working with your photographer!
